Suggested Colors for Fun Watercolor Snow Scene

  • Blue – any blue will work – my mix for snow shading is Ultramarine and Cerulean but don’t hesitate to try mixing one or two blues to see what you get
  • Red – any good red – quinacridone reds are especially good as they are transparent and mix well
  • Green – mix your own with blue plus gold or yellow, or use any tube green (Perylene Green would be perfect)
  • White – any opaque white paint in watercolor, gouache or acrylic (I used Bleed Proof White by Daler Rowney)
